Zero Waste Program
Sustainable Coffee
Premium coffee taste, with none of the waste
Everyone needs to do their part to make a difference!
Just Be Coffee Roasters blends specialty coffee with a commitment to zero waste and sustainability. Wholesale partners can choose to participate in our zero waste wholesale program and feel good knowing that our concern for reuse, recycling, and compostable materials respects our environment.
“2-way” Refillable Coffee Storage Containers
We deliver coffee to our wholesale partners in refillable containers and pick up the empty containers for reuse on the next delivery day.
Reuse Coffee Containers for up to 25 Years
Each container delivered to our wholesale partners is reusable and designed to last more than two decades before being recycled.
Reduce your Impact on
the Environment
Because our containers are not only reusable but durable, fewer containers need to be produced and sent to recycling facilities.
How it Works
Care for your business and the environment with our Zero Waste Program’s simple steps.
Receive
Just Be roasted coffees are delivered to our wholesale partners in sustainable containers that are reusable and recyclable.
Brew
Wholesale partners remove the tamper-proof lid, pour coffee into their equipment, and set the refillable container aside.
Return
Wholesale partners store empty containers in a safe place until they are picked up on the next scheduled delivery day.
Refill
Each collected wholesale container is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to refilling and reusing.
Repeat
Those who choose to participate in our program contribute to the many sustainable practices that keep our community healthy.
We are partnering with the Town of Munster to make use of our coffee chaff.
What is coffee chaff?
It is the husk of the coffee bean, which comes off during the roasting process and is typically disposed of. Chaff is a great mulch! It adds helpful nutrients to the soil, like nitrogen, which speeds up the growth of new plantings. The Munster Parks and Recreation Department will make good use of our chaff, while beautifying the Town.
